By default, WordPress will keep revisions for any article or page.
Because WordPress doesn't limit itself when storing page revisions, if an article is constantly edited, these revisions can clog up a site's database.
The Revisions Control plugin allows webmasters to set a limit of revisions to keep per page/post in the database.
By setting up such a limit database size is kept low, indirectly speeding up the rest of the queries and the site's delivery overall.
Additionally, there's also an option to disable page revisions altogether, if you just don't want to deal with all the complications they might cause after a while.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
